ENGAGE-SDG Jean Monnet Module

ENGAGE-SDG (Project No: 101239971) is a Jean Monnet Module hosted by Marmara University that examines the European Union’s role as a normative actor in global governance. The project advances teaching, research, and dialogue on gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through undergraduate and graduate education, academic collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. By bridging policy and academia, ENGAGE-SDG contributes to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and cooperative global order.

What is ENGAGE-SDG?

ENGAGE-SDG is a Jean Monnet Module coordinated by Marmara University (2025–2028) that examines the European Union’s normative role in global governance with a focus on gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals. The project combines graduate education, research, and public engagement activities.

Who can participate in the module?
What kind of activities does ENGAGE-SDG offer?

ENGAGE-SDG offers graduate-level courses, expert seminars, EU institution simulations, workshops, and research activities. Participants can also contribute to academic publications and policy briefs.

Do I need to pay to attend ENGAGE-SDG activities?

No. ENGAGE-SDG is funded as a Jean Monnet Module and most educational and public activities are free of charge for participants.

How can I apply for the courses?

Applications for MA and PhD courses are announced through the website and social media channels. Eligibility criteria and application deadlines are shared before each academic term.

In which language are the activities conducted?

The primary language of the module is English. Some outreach activities may also be offered in Turkish depending on the target audience.

Will there be certificates of participation?

Yes. Participants who meet the attendance requirements for courses and seminars will receive certificates issued by the ENGAGE-SDG Module.
